Week 16/52
Last week I wasn't able to post my week 16 due to welcoming our twin boys to the world on Saturday April 16th, so I am stuck with using a picture from my iPhone.
Preston Reese was born at 2:27PM weighing 6lbs 7oz at 19 1/2 inches long and his brother Calvin Matthew followed him 20 minutes later at 2:47PM weighing 6lbs 4oz at 19 1/2 inches long. My beautiful boys, with so much hair! <3
I couldn't have asked for a better twin pregnancy and delivery. A lot of nurses at the hospital asked if I was the one who had the twins vaginally and they said how rare it was for it to happen there. I was shocked! But I couldn't have asked for a better doctor to take her time and patience to deliver them. She was the best and I thanked her over and over again every time I saw her. Calvin (baby b) could of ended up being a c-section, but she had patience and tried her best to move his hand up away from his face while still in the amniotic sac so he could come out head first. With Preston on my chest during this time and after a few tries, she was able to move his hand up and it was time to push!
So, so thankful.
Matt and I are blessed with beautiful and healthy baby boys and what good boys they have been. Mommy and Daddy love you both oh so much!
Week 17/52
On Friday I attempted to shoot my boys posed newborn photos. It was an epic fail. They have been backed up and gassy for a couple of days, they smelled me, they knew I had the food and I was anxious. It was hard and my husband said this was torture to them. I gave up.
I talked to my friend Erin who took our family photos at the beginning of the week and she ended up having a shoot in my area on Sunday. She offered to come over to help me with the posing and so did my mother in law to help keep them calm. Thank you to Erin and Barb for the huge help! It was a SUCCESS! So happy! With all their help, they kept me and the boys calm. I ended up being able to pose them with my mother in law after Erin left and we got this adorable picture! I am ready to blow it up and hang it on the wall in our living room. More pictures to come when I have the time to edit them!
My sweet boys.
